What happened
Singapore Airlines unveiled a new business-class seat with sliding privacy doors, companion-bed capability, redesigned sleeping space and an enlarged footwell. It will be installed on Boeing 777-9 aircraft and retrofitted to Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft.
Why it matters: The product targets privacy and sleep comfort, while introducing aircraft-specific trade-offs: wider seats on the 777-9 and larger screens on the A350.
