Data processed and purpose

Aviation Synth receives only task-specific aviation queries, filters and story identifiers sent to perform a requested read-only workflow. It does not request passwords, payment data, precise location, health data, government identifiers or full conversation transcripts.

Inputs may be processed by OpenAI for model-assisted research and web search and by Vercel as hosting provider. Source URLs and generated summaries are returned to ChatGPT. Personal data is not sold or used for advertising.

Newsletter data

When you subscribe, Resend processes your email address, confirmation status, selected aviation interests, delivery frequency and preferred briefing depth. You can update these settings, unsubscribe globally or delete the contact profile through the secure preference link in each edition.

Website feedback

When you submit feedback, Aviation Synth stores your email address, the report, the page path and limited browser context. A one-time email link verifies the address before triage. OpenAI converts confirmed reports into a bounded bug triage or evaluated user story; sanitized technical details may then be published in this repository's GitHub issue tracker. Resend delivers confirmation and outcome emails. Raw report text and browser identifiers are removed after triage; a one-way network rate-limit key and the reporter email remain only until the outcome notification, then are removed.

Retention and controls

Aviation Synth does not maintain a persistent database of user queries. Returned story records may remain temporarily in a limited in-memory cache. Operational logs are retained only as needed for reliability and security. Requests concerning attributable personal data may be sent to the contact address above.
